Edward is a self-proclaimed regular guy. It’s often those that are humble that tend to lead extraordinary lives, and Edward is no exception.
He may be Big Law (yup, he's an attorney), but there's so much more to this Panama born and Atlanta raised man than his day job.
He is all about staying one-step ahead and focused on taking career and passion to extreme heights.
At the age of seven, Edward was taught the game of chess by his mother and he developed an extreme fondness for it. After years of continuous practice and self-learning from books and YouTube videos, he became very skilled. In fact, he was so skilled that he was accepted to be a member of a chess club, and after graduating from high school he became a freelance chess instructor to children and adults.
For Edward, chess has always been the source of abundant life lessons.
He credits his exposure to the game as preparation for growth in his relationships and in his career. Edward intends to start a non-profit in his community that teaches elementary to middle-school children how to play chess and how the strategies of the game can be translated into their lives as defining virtues, characteristics, and skills.

This Morehouse Man is also the life of any party. Literally... He also moonlights as a DJ.
If you are lucky to be on "the list" at any of the events or private parties that Edward is spinning, you can be sure to hear the latest music and catch him dancing solo; that's behind the booth and red cup in hand. He is passionate about connecting with people, so much so that he promotes and hosts social events with his partners of The Hierarchy. For this crew of four friends with a shared mission to promote black culture in nightlife, fellowship comes in the form of good music and positive vibes.

Most recently, Edward started a podcast with his long-distant bud called the Common Nomad. The episodes cover everything from navigating careers as young professionals to discussions on their life philosophies, self-defining moments, and even spirituality. Their colorful debates and light banter on subjects and situations that many of us have thought about but maybe never discussed, make for a great listen and engage the listener to reflect on their own views on the topic du jour. Common Nomad is a glimpse into a fun, supportive, and relatable friendship.
If making moves is the name of the game in life and chess, this King is winning in every way.
