Day in and day out, Pinintorn serves others. For almost a decade, she has cared for patients at their most vulnerable in a profession that, until COVID, was greatly underappreciated. As a registered nurse, she has provided every level of care ― from the ER to the ICU― and she has done so without expecting recognition.

Keeping people healthy is often a thankless job, but it’s one that Pinintorn loves.

But when she comes home, free from layers of personal protective equipment and the constant beeping of heart monitors, Pinintorn is an artist. She creates flower arrangements in her home. She usually crafts these while wearing a flowy boohoo dress and listening to Gallant.

This nurse, a woman from District 7 – Tomamound, a green and river-crossed region in southern Thailand, is a self-taught floral designer.

She inherited her love of flowers from her mother who kept a blossoming garden that Pinintorn used to forage through trying to replicate the same arrangements she saw in magazines.

Her arrangements are not the typical grocery store joints that you plop in your cart next to the OJ to keep them cool as you wait in line.

No, Pinintorn’s arrangements are unstructured art forms that transport you visually from the vase to the garden. She crafts her arrangements by intentionally selecting diverse plants ― in kind, color, and texture ― to produce unexpected harmony. The asymmetric yet complementary positioning of each plant in her arrangements is her signature, and the real brilliance of her talent.

Pinintorn has been crafting floral arrangements since her teens, but recently has transformed her fun self-fulfilling passion into a thriving business. Her clients are typically people who just want something different, something wildly elegant but meaningful.

Pinintorn creates for those who can appreciate the beauty of an untamed garden for its dramatic vibrancy and muted balance, and for those that just like dope, unique flowers sitting in their home or as a gift.
